Paula, i am always afraid i'll forget on the day, so i'm telling you happy b'day now a week early.
i hope things are well with you and Gary and the family. are you still riding bike? are the boys still nearby? grandbabies?
i am still cleaning stalls 3 days a week. i don't want to sit down; i'm. afraid i won't get up. the girls and their families will be here next week for the day so that will be fun. will you have a house full?
i hope you get to celebrate christmas and your b'day with family and friends, and i hope you are healthy and happy.
catch me up with how you are sometime with when you get the chance.
blessings to you, Paula.

happy b'day next week, Betty. i hope things are well with you. i think of the old neighborhood often. Jimmy Gebhart visited us last weekend (his son was flying balloon at the Lake Red Rock event). it was a good place to grow up. anyway, i wish you a fun b'day and a great year to come.

happy belated b'day, Vickie. hope you had a fun celebration with family and friends. the best present right now is to warm. and to have cake. i wish you both.
Paula, i know your b'day was several weeks ago. i typed you a message, but i think i must have not hit the post comment. it's not on here, so i will try again.
i hope you had a great birthday with kids and grandkids.
are you still riding bike? i still clean stalls three days a week, but i can't do as many as i used to do. i am so not a fan of this getting old thing. do you and Gary go somewhere warm during the winter? i am also not a fan of this cold weather. my asthma makes it tricky to breathe outside.
anyway, i did think of you on your b'day, and i apologize for being late sending you greetings. i hope all is well with you, and i am sending wishes to you for a great year to come.

happy b'day, Mary. i hope all is well with you.
are you still in Indianola?
stay warm, and i wish you a great day and a great year to come.
hey, Hugh. i'm always afraid i will forget when it's the day so i'm sending b'day greetings a week early. i hope you have a great day. will there be a party? will there be a family gathering? i do hope your family is doing well. at this age, i have figured out that every day is a gift. i get up, i move, i still scoop poop, and i hope to continue with all of that as long as God sees fit. i pray you are able to do the same (maybe not the scoop poop part, but the rest of it). happy b'day, Hugh. wishing you the best of life.
i am sad to hear about Mr. Brown. he was a great teacher. of course, at the time, as a sophomore in high school, i didn't understand what a really good teacher was. however, having been a classroom teacher myself for 46 years, i feel like i can recognize a teacher who relates to students and who knows how to spark their interest. Mr. Brown definitely did that. i was never a fan of biology, but one memory i do have of his class was when we were dissecting frogs. i am sure, in all likelihood, i wasn't taking the assignment very seriously. Mr Brown came over, used his hook to stir up the innards of my frog, and told me, "now, identify the internal organs." i don't remember the grade i received, but i am fairly sure it wasn't a great grade. in my opinion, a good teacher makes his point and walks away. Mr. Brown handled my frog and my lack of attentiveness to the assignment as he should, and i do recall the search that took place for those organs and the lesson i learned. well done, Mr. Brown. well done.
